Noche Buena- A Good Night, Indeed!Noche Buena (good night), is one of the most beautiful, most celebrated nights in hispanic and Spanish culture. It's the night when our families gather to celebrate Christmas, and truly one of the most beautiful traditions we have. It's the night where we dress up, and gather everyone. We mean all the Tios all the Tias and every Cuban cousin you have. The plan for lechon has been in place and your brother is bringing the Caja China over in the morning. The pig roasts in the backyard as the family elders argue whether it was marinated well enough and whether it's time to flip it. Inevitably there is a catastrophe with the pork, but somehow it all comes together when it's time to serve (hopefully before 10 PM). The tables are set to Christmas perfection, and the family gathers around a table filled with all the classic traditional food for prayer, and then everyone digs in. There's music that you can almost hear over all the loud conversation, and you know it's going to be a good night. This newsletter is dedicated to that table. We wanted to celebrate all the traditional fixings you would find at a Noche Buena night in any given house in Miami and all over the world. Thanksgiving is Really All About the Sides On Thanksgiving, it seems to us that the Turkey gets all the focus and all the praise. This newsletter is dedicated to all our favorite Thanksgiving sides. So if you are looking for a...
If you've been here for a while, you know- Thanksgiving is one of our absolute favorite days of the year! We think hosting it is a badge of honor.
